Bob purchased the Monkey specifically for this project, allowing us to transform it with TYGA parts and create a unique motorcycle to be displayed at Box Box. His support and enthusiasm for the project made it possible for us to bring this idea to life.

The TYGA Monkey 125 Special is now on display at Box Box, where visitors can see the bike in person and experience the unique atmosphere of the venue.

Box Box is more than just a restaurant and hotel. It is also a destination for motorcycle and motorsport enthusiasts, featuring a diverse collection of motorcycles on display, ranging from classic and collectible bikes to special and limitededition Honda models.

One of the highlights of the collection is a selection of 19 Honda Monkey Limited Edition models, making it an especially interesting destination for Monkey enthusiasts and collectors of special edition motorcycles. These motorcycles are displayed throughout the restaurant, allowing visitors to enjoy the food, atmosphere, and impressive motorcycle collection all in one place.

Box Box also features its own race track, making it an exciting destination for those who share a passion for motorcycles, classic bikes, collectible machines, and motorsport.

As well as the rear sets, we also have a number of CNC machined parts ready to go. These include the triple clamp bolt, handlebar clamp and filler cap.

We then looked at the most obvious component to change: the exhaust. Honda needed to meet Euro 5 emissions standards, so understandably the original exhaust is relatively quiet and designed to meet the required emissions regulations. However, it is also quite large and heavy for such a small motorcycle.

Luckily, we already had a low-level performance exhaust system that fits straight onto the Monkey. We offer two versions of the low-mount system, with either a short or long silencer. For this project, we chose the long silencer, which complements the overall style of the bike while providing a cleaner and more purposeful appearance.

The only issue then is that there is a big ‘gone’ where the exhaust was once located under the seat, and the Monkey is crying out for another side panel. Luckily, we have the technology (well access to it). The left side panel was sent off to Bangkok to be 3D scanned and with the resulting file we could then flip it and 3D print it. From this we made a mold, some mounting stays and carbon side panels to match the left side. We naturally then used this as an excuse to make a left side panel in carbon too so the two sides now match perfectly.

Time to move on to other products!

As you may have noticed, there are quite a few other parts besides the side covers which have been given the carbon treatment on our Monkey. These range from the air box covers, to the sprocket covers to the fenders.

The original rear fender is supplied with a relatively large registration plate holder, which not only makes the rear of the bike look rather bulky, but was also not designed with weight reduction as a priority.

To help reduce the overall weight of the bike while creating a cleaner and more streamlined appearance, we chose to use the TYGA carbon rear fender together with our Tail Tidy in place of the original registration plate holder. This combination helps reduce weight at the rear of the bike while also giving the overall design a cleaner and more refined look.

The TYGA Tail Tidy can be fitted with either the original chrome rear fender or our carbon rear fender, giving owners the flexibility to choose the combination that best suits their preferred style and requirements.

The original registration plate holder, however, is not suitable for use with our lightweight carbon rear fender, as its size and weight are not consistent with the lightweight and streamlined design of the carbon fender.
